Early Years Learning
What is a Pre-School?
A pre-school is an early years setting where children under statutory school age have the opportunity to learn through play. The Blues Pre-School is an educational charity run by a management committee of volunteers made up of parents, ex-parents and other interested parties. Pre-schools are inspected by Ofsted and are required to offer the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for all children from Birth until the end of the Reception year.
Through attending Blues Pre-school each child will be taking part in a range of activities that link to the EYFS framework. This allows us to support your child’s learning and development and ensures they are ready when it is time to move on.
Giving each child and their family a key worker helps us to build positive relationships. The key worker gets to know each child and family really well, they share information and concerns and support each child in their learning journey. Read more about the key worker system on our staff page.
Each key worker welcomes contributions from parents so feel free to speak to them at any time.
